About the company

The company specializes in photo products (photo books, calendars, mugs, etc.) and building software to create them. Founded in 2003, it is one of the fastest growing companies in Amsterdam now. Its photo products are delivered to more than 4M customers in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. Currently, there are two teams of .NET developers in the company. One works on shift to microservices, AWS, RabbitMQ, Consul, Auth0. And also on automated testing with BDD/SpecFlow, Continuous Delivery pipeline, investigating migration to .NET Core, Linux and PostgreSQL in a cure. Another team uses dockerized microservice in Amazon (EC2 Container Service), PostgreSQL instead of SQL Server and Kubernetes deployments prototyping. Your profile:

- University degree in Computer Engineering/Science (BSc, MSc);

- Highly proficient in OOP/design with .NET technology and C#;

- Experience with Microsoft web technologies (ASP.NET MVC or Web API);

- Experience with SQL Server and ORM frameworks;

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Amazon ECS;

- Knowledge of/experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery will be a plus;

- Prior experience with e-commerce or similar;

- Good grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable;

- Knowledge of TDD, BDD, DDD is appreciated;

- Fluent English along with excellent communication skills.

- Solid experience with one of the languages: Ruby, Java, C#, C++, Python. We build our apps in Ruby on Rails, so we expect at least several years of RoR experience;

- Experience working in virtual and devops environments utilizing virtual machines, containers, and continuous integration/deployment tools preferred;

- Know how to make the tradeoffs required to ship without compromising quality;

Realize that automated tests are a worthwhile investment;

Appreciate agility and pragmatism in software development;

- Thrive in a startup environment.
