🤩The life of a YouTube star may superficially appear to be a bliss. However a peak behind the curtain reveals a growing number of creators are feeling burnt out.

🎥The constant churn of creating and editing videos, the non-stop pursuit of subscribers and instant criticism in the comments are all unique challenges faced by creators which can lead to burnout. Ther is also unhappiness and anxiety due to “forced positivity” or faking contentment for the camera. 🤷‍♀As a viewer it’s very easy to think, ‘this is easy, I could do this’, but it’s not until you get into it that you realise the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. 😎Kati Morton, a therapist who runs a YouTube channel focusing on mental health, says: “Burnout happens when the stress that comes along with the job is greater than the reward that you receive. The internet never sleeps and that can be really difficult, we’re always being asked to create new types of content,” she says.
